LUDHIANA: The police commissioner has issued an order banning loud music and high volume sound systems in the city between 10pm and 6 am for the next two months.

Exercising powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CRPC), commissioner of police RN Dhoke passed the order on Saturday. “Permission should be sought for using DJ and loudspeakers in any function between 10 pm to 6 am,” Dhoke said.

The police commissioner also ordered all owners of hotels, guest houses and other service apartments to maintain record of the visitors.
