Gaiety marked the Teej celebrations at CT Group of Institutions

The rich heritage of Punjab was reflected at the Teej Celebrations organized by CT Group of Institutions at Ambassador Hotel, as the festival was celebrated with great festivity.

Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi (Co-Chairperson, CT Group of Institutions) was the Guest of Honour on this great festive occasion.  A beautifully decorated swing was hung to exhibit the religious and cultural emotions and happiness. Mrs. Suman Rana (Principal, CTPS) presented a token of love to the Chief Guest as a mark of gratitude.

Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi (Co-Chairperson, CT Group of Institutions) talked about the importance of girls in society and the need to save girl child. She stressed on the equality, as she said, “We believe in the equality & we celebrate all the festivals with great enthusiasm. In the fast track of modern life man has become so mechanical and selfish in his thoughts and actions that he has no time to enjoy the bounties of nature. As a result many festivals associated with the colourful seasons have become redundant and forgotten and have taken a back seat.  However, festivals should be celebrated as they bring life to exuberance and enthusiasm. Celebrating festivals brings brotherhood and harmony in society and can be interpreted as a good time to bring everyone together in symphony and gratitude.”

In the event, the members of the Management, Teachers, Staff and Class-IV employees also participated. Mrs. Suman Rana (Principal, CTPS) said, “We took an initiative to connect the young generation with their tradition and culture.”

As this festival celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of clouds and rain, greenery and birds with social activity, rituals and customs, series of vibrant cultural items were presented which pronounced the onset of Saavan and fun games were played at the event. The teachers, all garbed in beautiful traditional attires enhanced the essence of the festival which was marked with folk songs, dances and interesting games.  Every guest was felicitated with a Special gift.
