Ludhiana : Café’ Delish the Multi Cuisine 24 X 7 Coffee Shop at Radisson Blu Hotel MBD Ludhiana started a week long food festival, “Oktoberfest”. This festival is originally celebrated in Germany. Keeping up with the tradition of celebrating global as well as Indian festivals the hotel has organised this special food festival. The festival is on from September 16 th to 3 rd October and the special menu along with beer promotions will be served during dinner time only.
Food and Beverage Manager Amit Sharma said, “ We at café delish restaurant are providing the same experience of international festival to guests. Munich Oktoberfest (Munich Beerfest) is one of the most famous events and the world’s largest fair. Munich’s Oktoberfest began life as a wedding for the Bavarian crown prince Ludwig to princess Therese from Saxony-Hildburghausen (hence the name of the Theresienwiese) on October 12, 1810 and attended by the local community. Today the Munich Beerfest traditionally takes place during the sixteen days up to and including the first Sunday in October with Oktoberfest 2014 starting on Saturday, 20th September until Sunday the 5th of October.” he further added

Traditional food such as Linzensuppe (A specialty of German Oktoberfest a very warm and hearty lentil soup), Frikadelles (Deep fried chicken cutlets with sauerkraut and spicy tomato sauce), Geröstet hahn mit knodel (Roasted chicken served with potato dumplings and sauce made from its own juices), Stecker fisch (Oktoberfest specialty of “Fish on a stick”, barbequed and served with smoked BBQ sauce), Eintopf (A vegetable stew for made by cooking all ingredients in one pot), Kartoffelpuffer (Pancake made from potatoes), Schlachteplatte (Deli platter) (Bratwurst, pork curlies, ham, chicken salami, salami Milano accompanied by sauerkraut and pickled vegetables), and a in the desserts guests can have a fill of Apfelstrudel, Bavarian Cream, Milchrahmstrudel.” he further added
