“Athiti Devo Bhava” Training Session Started By Fortis Hospital Ludhiana

Patient Care is the base of every hospital. There is no hospital that can succeed without the Compassionate patient care. On the same lines, Fortis Hospital Ludhiana launched the new session on the concept of “Athiti Devo Bhava” under the leadership of Mr. Vivan Singh Gill, Director, Fortis Hospital Ludhiana, where the same tradition is being followed in Fortis Hospital where the Patients and Attendants are being treated like family members.

 

From the moment the Patient enters the Hospital, Front Desk is the first Department faced by them from whom they form their first impression.  The impression formed here is being carried by the Patient in their entire journey through their stay till their discharge. Taking it on a serious note, Fortis Hospital Ludhiana started a new venture – Athiti Devo Bhava. Patient Care Department was trained on the concept of Hospitality and Compassionate patient care where all the patients and Attendants go happy and satisfied from the hospital premises.

 

During the session, PCS Team demonstrated the skit on the ongoing issues of the patients and Employees. After the session, group discussion was also arranged where all the senior management and PCS Team gave the solutions to  issues presented.

 

Taking over the Group Discussion, The co- facilitator and the Unit Trainer Mr. Shrikant Juneja emphasised the needs of the patients and attendants where one line does it all – ‘I empathize with you’. Almost 50 participants attended the session and learned the art of hospitality and patient care. They were also honoured and certified by Mr. Vivan Singh Gill.
